We introduce best plain English practice to people who write as part of their everyday work.
We have a wide range of in-house writing workshops and support services, and we participate in events to raise awareness of the public benefits of plain English.
In 2011, the Foundation is a proud sponsor of the 5th National Editors Conference in Australia, the ClearMark Awards in the USA and the Writemark Awards in New Zealand. We are also a major partner of the Sydney Writers' Festival each year.

Modern Manglish
We are pleased to announce that our latest book will be published in time for Christmas!
Modern Manglish explores the traditional linguistic traps of mixed metaphors and mispronunciation, of new words and old clichés, of euphemism, tautology, and jargon. It presents the worst excesses of Manglish in 21 chapters, captured by Neil James and Harold Scruby, and illustrated by Australia’s premier editorial cartoonist Alan Moir.
